From the Desk of Mylo Moose...

Bonjour!

First of I apologize for not updating (at all!) I've been truly busy with all the wedding preps as I am living in the 'wedding house' it can be (understandably) quite hectic. And as it is an Asian wedding well it's all the more of a big 'hoo-haa'. So I don't want to hear any digs of lack of updates, yeah? 

ok so what I've been doing thus far...

well here's a neat and tidy list for you all to read of my goings on (I know you've been dieing to know, haha not)

I've been, calming the bride-to-be, shopping with such ferocity that I've become known as bionic woman, going to dance practice, trying on heaps and heaps of shalwar kameez, going to the gym, babysitting, discussing flower arrangements, shopping for wedding favours, getting shoes and bangles for a manner of different occasions, side-skirting family politics, and getting back in touch with my south asian culture. 

and tomorrow I'm going for a one day shopping trip (via ferry) to Paris, France. It's been a long time since I've been back to my beloved city of high fashion, ill-mannered people, and eclairs, and I'm looking forward to it! I'll be sure to post pictures so you can all see what I've been getting up to there.

TOMORROW IS THE DAY! That I leeeeave for England. This is it, after about 4 years of not going, I'm finally going back hoommmmee! I am very excited and finally feel that all my anxiety over family stuff there was worth it. YES I'M EXCITED!

gasp, it's so close it feels almost surreal =)

anyways, here is an open apology to friends (real life and internet alike) for not being in touch. I can honestly say that I've been truly bogged down with pre-trip business, and as I'm leaving for six weeks there's alot to attend to at home here. I'm so sorry, I didn't even go to the OOTP premiere as I said I would but instead wound up in homesense and bombay buying things for my countless aunts and uncles (people- I have a BIG family). Hopefully I will keep in touch, and keep a journal of what I've been upto in england here. I'll miss you guys, but don't worry - I'll have gifts. So I'll buy your friendship off with some authentic english choccies, k?

yes, I love Costco...not only is it the place that I first got Philosphers stone when I was a wee little 9 year old (actually I wasn't that little, I used to be a chubby kid =D) it's just amazing.

why?

Well, on Nov. 12, 06, a day after my birthday my parental units decided to buy me a white 30 gig video ipod from there. I loved it, and treated it very well that is until last tuesday. I being the idiot I am, decided to download a program to get the music off of my ipod because my itunes library on my Laptop was going to wiped because it was being sent in for repairs. I did not want to lose oer 600 songs and goodness knows how many podcasts so I used this program to get it off. And it totally broke my ipod. I mean I clicked this thing, and it

on

gah! I checked my warranty, and sadly Apple does not cover damage done to an ipod by using unauthorized software, so I felt dejected. There it was, I ruined my ipod. Straight-up wrecked my beloved pop icon. I started looking for prices for new ipod hardware and this got me even more depressed as 30 gig ipod vid hardware cost upward of $225.

I told my mum, and she rolled her eyes and said we'll return it to Costco. Of course we didn't have the receipt (always.save.the.receipt), and I didn't have my hopes up for a return to Costco. However when I went there, told the woman (who'se name was Lori, I will never forget this woman and her gravity defying haircut) she took a quick look at the contents, and gave us a $307 store credit.

so I bought a new ipod with this store credit, and there you have it.

I love Costco because they took my ipod which I ruined, and gave me a new one.


lesson learned: Costco is love.

So today, is CANADA DAY.

it is a very fun day, and it isn't over yet. So I shall tell you what I have done so far on this patriotic day. FIRST! I went strawberry picking which is a hella lot of fun.
NEXT! I went over to someone's house

and THEN! I will go to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks.


how..eventful. okok, I have other things on mah mind other than you know Confederation, k? I mean Canada is cool and all, but I'm goin' back to homebase.

She does not stop by and chat to strangers who look sad or happy, and above-all...she likes dogs.

Ok, so I was workin' out, and usually I work out to mah Harry Potter podcasts...but to my astonishment...the treadmill excersising seemed alot slower. Don't get me wrong, Spinnerscast, Mugglecast, and Pottercast are loads of fun to listen too...
but not when I'm working out.

so I was thinking...I want everyone to post their 'workout playlist' even if you don't workout, just tell the worrlllddd what you would listen to whilst you worked out...

Well spcbrilliant decided to tag me...and now I am obligated to divulge six weird things about myself..

1. My favourite thing to eat is brioche with mascorpone and fresh jam...I haven't had this to eat for over four years because of the lack of adequate brioche, mascorpone, and fresh jam in Canada.

2. I sometimes like to walk into stores and converse with random people in a 'pakistani accent'.

3.  I harbour a secret burning passion to own a siamese cat named oliver, but my mum's allergic (severly) to cats, and I won't be able to own one till I move out! (darn.)

4. I have an irrational fear of dogs, so much so that I will cross the street if I see a dog coming toward me. and I secretly detest people who try to 'coax' me out of this fear. Me and my fear are in a good place thank you very much.

5. At red lights, I will sing and dance to the car next to me. No I cannot sing to save my life.

6. my perfect setting for a kiss...is in a clock tower.

ARGH MY HEART IS HURTING.

so here we go, the obligatory love sick LJ entry.

but I need to get rid of my internal list of what a man should be in my eyes and just go with the -freaking- flow.

And perhaps just maybe, I've already met well, him. You know that guy who is simply just right, I do believe in Soul Mates, yes yes, sappy, but I do.

And maybe I've met him, I haven't seen him for three years, I don't even really remember his name. But I do remember our first meeting when I was 6 and he was 7 (or 8?), I remembered hiding during a game of hide and go seek, and he hid in the same closet as me. We forgot all about the game and started talking until someone wrenched open the door and we tumbled out. Over the next course of years I seldom saw him, but when I did there was something horribly frightening happening inside of me. Something not like nervous butterflies, or heart skipping beats, a gut churning feeling that completely made me stumble, it was physically painful.

Three years later I'm going back to my home, England. He's still there. He'll be attending the same wedding I will be, maybe, maybe, I'll sit near him, find an excuse to talk to him, an excuse to touch him, and excuse to take any memory of ours to hold it in my heart even if we don't admit our feelings. Or is it my feelings? Surely if I feel this way, he has to as well? Ten years, ten years of knowing him. Him, that's all I call this boy.
This man?
This guy?
I don't know! But I know that the minute I get off the plane, I'll be unable to contain my excitement to see him. This is all wishful thinking, but I don't think so, somehow to me, it seems to me like it's right. If it's right, if it's true, if we come to love each other, or admit the feelings we have for each other, then next summer I might be the one getting married.

I can't wait.

July 15, the day I leave for home, the day my life will change.

Hey,

I haven't updated.

for a while -gasp-
But today is the long weekend! Well the start, I mean the long weeked officially starts tomorrow, and Monday of course in Victoria Day, which is cool. I may hail from England, but I prefer to watch other peoples fireworks rather than contribute myself because fireworks are expensive, and the scare me (when I'm close to them that is).
Of late I've been watching an AWESOME chinese drama, I figure that chinese, indian, pakistani, it's all the same, just if I don't understand the farsi, mandarin or whatever, I read the subtitles. haha. Anyways this one is called, 'It started with a kiss' and it's so sweet =) I love it! Jiro Wang (from Farenheit) is in it, and he's so cute =)

Hmm, what else to say, hopefully this weekend I get to go to Yorkdale (<3) and omg I'm so excited for SPC's first live podcast in PR with alley cast. (www.spinnerscast.com) I may not be going to any Harry Potter con's , but I'm still excited for them. Anyways, I'm bored, a little tired, and not altogether 'there'. so I'm going to sleep.

Right now I'm supposed to be studying for my math test, but I'm taking an eensy study break, and I need to write my comparision essay rough copy for macbeth/a tale of two cities.
But I have to say- I finally watched Happy Feet, ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVOURITE MOVIES!
I loved it and the message it sends, it made me happy, and the live action with the cg was reminiscent of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Marry Poppins (young dick van dyke = <3)
that is all.
oh and I went to postsecret today, let me first say 'HAPPY MUM'S DAY!'
 I love my mum, and this secret that someone posted in was as though my own secret was put on.
